Today’s adventure takes us to the African Safari in Ohio! If haven’t heard of this place it’s basically a zoo with less animals. There’s a walk through and drive through option. The walk through part isn’t too large, in under an hour you can see everything. You can feed a turtle, bunny, kangaroo, and ride a camel. The drive through section has larger animals but nothing that’s to dangerous. You can go through each section as much as you’d like all day for a pretty reasonable price. In all honesty, the place isn’t as spectacular as their site would like you to believe but it’s great for the little ones. I have been going since I was a child, now I take my children every year to carry on the tradition.
To keep things educational I have created a pack of the animals we’ll be seeing. You can download your Safari packet below containing over 40 animals with a brief description of each. I also created a pack of coloring pages, one for each animal. I printed the info pack and then printed the coloring pages on the back of the corresponding page. While we color each page we talk about the animals a little more. Our youngest LOVES animals, we really can’t talk/learn about them enough, this is one of Littles favorite places because of the animal interaction options.
