If your children struggle to keep up with their chores or you just want a way to keep track of things easily and efficiently this app may be just what you need! Fun game apps are great and all but I’m always on the look out for new apps that can help make our daily routine and lives run a bit smoother. If you have been following me a while you probably seen the post about our behavior/reward system and how we use it to work on teaching kiddo to manage and keep tack of the “money” earned from school work and chores. Recently I found a great addition to our system, the Allowance & Chores Bot app from the Google Play store. Sadly it’s not a 100% free app, it’s still useful if you opt of of paying, however I recommend the paid version. You do get a 7 day trail before you fully commit. You’ll use one email for every device but you can change settings for each however you’d like, the account settings are for every device. This app allows for you to create chore list for each child that they can check off as they complete them. You can set a weekly allowance or with the paid version you can set a price for each chore then you can decide if it’s paid automatically or upon your approval. You and your child can create separate accounts for saving for different things, you can deposit or deduct/withhold money for whatever reason, send reminders to your child’s device and so much more. The kiddo LOVES this app as well and the little robot guy that pops up to announce the daily chores. Since we have started using the app kiddo has been so excited to complete the task of the day so mom and dad could approve it and the notification saying more money has been deposited would sound on the phone. Of course the “money” is only real if you physically hand it to your child, or do as we do and use fake money that’s redeemable for things in our school store.
