You can’t say that! You’re a parent! 😂 😂

I don’t like my kid right now! That’s right, I said what I said! Don’t get me wrong here, I freaking love all my children more than life itself no matter what, but the little one isn’t my favorite person currently.

This kid ya’ll…. 🙄🙄 You know those moments when people complement your children on how good and amazing they are and your like, yeah right hang out with them at home for a week and lay down some rules! See what happens. Those “see what happens” moments are exactly the kind of week we have had. What makes the situation worse is the youngest is normally the good one. All of my children are pretty well behaved, good children overall, but the little one has always been the most polite, kindest, best behaved of them…. Until this week.

Everything is an argument, and the kid hasn’t been right about a single thing yet! The kid has shut down a couple of arguments though. This kid is to smart, and has a way of blurting out the most ridiculous, off the wall crap that none of us are expecting and therefore get tripped up on a come back! 😂 😂 Apparently the kids whole world is falling apart and I “just don’t understand.” That’s right, apparently I, an adult woman, don’t understand the 5 year olds life. I’m pulling my hair out here people! I give up! The kid has damn near broke me! 😂 😂 Is there such a things as terrible 5’s? Because I think we’re going through it right now! 😂 😂 That, or the kid is making up for not having terrible 2’s.

So no I don’t like my child right now, and yes I know you’re not supposed to say stuff like that as a parent. But let’s be real here ya’ll. Some days you just like them a little less, you always love them, but you just don’t like them for a bit. And you wanna know another little secret? They don’t like you sometimes either! 😂 😂 Surprise!

But you know what? In my opinion, you don’t have to like your child every min of every day to love and support them, nor do they have to like you all of the time to love and respect you. As long as you’re still doing your job as a parent, and they are sill good kids overall, ya’ll are absolutely entitled to feel frustrated, fed up, annoyed and everything in between! Honestly, in my experience, if your kids like you 100% of the time, never get upset/mad at you for anything, you’re probably worrying to damn much about being a friend rather than a parent. For the most part, we as parents expect that from them here and there, so why the hell are so many of us trying to fool ourselves into thinking we couldn’t/shouldn’t occasionally feel the same way towards them as well. Seriously, we’re just as human as they are.

So, for any of you out there that have these type of thoughts pop into your head from time to time, or have those moments when your children tell you they hate you or don’t like you, just know, you’re not alone! And (in my opinion) it’s completely acceptable.

I know my opinions on most things as a parent are unpopular or “taboo” (or so I’m told 🙄🙄) but I have never been one to care what others think and you really shouldn’t either!
