I’m never sure what to write on these things. Not that I’m in denial or don’t know who I am, I definitely do, I’m just never sure about how much I should actually share. So here I go….

I am a 30+ year old wife and mother. I have been a stay at home mom for a while now and it’s definitely my favorite job by far, but it’s not just a job to me it’s the entire way I live my life. Simply put, I am a mother fully dedicated and determined to give my children the best education and life I possibly can. Everything I do is centered around my family. Obviously that’s not the life for everyone and not every stay at home mother views the “stay at home mom” roll as I do, but it’s how my grandmother lived. Growing up all I ever wanted was to be like her. I was lucky enough to meet someone that provides so that I may live my life as my grandmother lived hers. Although there is absolutely no way I’ll ever be even half the wife, mother, and woman she was but I’m sure as hell going to spend my life trying. My grandmother is actually the reason I started on this path to reach out and help as many homeschoolers as possible. I am NOT perfect. I cuss like a sailor and have no filter for the things that come out of my mouth. I’d rather do anything else in the world than my sink if dishes and I hate doing laundry. (Who doesn’t right?) I haven’t had a set schedule in almost 12 years and I’m incredibly spoiled which means I can basically do whatever I want whenever but I’m anti social so I “whatever I want” always happens at home. My life isn’t glamorous, I’m not rich. I don’t have the fanciest car or the biggest house. What I do have is a house filled with love and laughter, amazing kids, and a wonderful family. It’s not an especially impressive life but it is a happy one.

I have been homeschooling my children and assisting in homeschooling my nieces, nephews, and a few friends children on and off for about 11 years now and homeschooling my youngest for almost 5 years steady. I don’t have a teaching degree, I do have a collage education just not in teaching. I’m not a pro teacher and I am NOT trying to come across as a “know it all”. I don’t presume to be an expert at any of this. If I’m being completely honest, I have no f#@!ing clue what I’m doing from one day to the next. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Not just with the homeschooling but life in general. Anyone that tells you they have their s@#t completely figured out is lying out of their a$$. We’re all figuring it out day by day the best we can. I’m just passing along some of the things that have worked for me and mine hoping it helps some of y’all figure s!@t out easier and/or faster.

I have researched homeschooling, teaching methods, special education techniques, etc. for years but I really started studying everything when I found out I was pregnant for the 3rd time. I knew with the decline of the public schools in our area I was absolutely going to homeschool. I now spend around 50 hours a week on homeschool related things. I’m constantly researching anything and everything pertaining to homeschooling that I think is relevant or will become relevant in the future. I make custom worksheets and lesson plans specific to my children’s learning abilities and interest and do everything else that goes with homeschooling on top of doing everything that comes with being a housewife/stay at home mom. I am consonantly learning how to do all of this right along with my children while figuring out this whole life thing like the rest of you. So if you came to this site looking for definitive answers, direction, or expertise you are in the wrong place. I’m going along day by day. I’m constantly changing and/or improving our lessons and methods along with our lives and that’s what you’ll find here. I’m sharing things that we have been through, what has worked for us or completely failed us and how I may have altered or improved things for our family and schooling. I’ll pass along materials we use, info I find/have, stories and/or my point of view (thoughts) on our situations and schooling that may give you ideas/help, resources and anything else I can think of pertaining to this journey we are all on.

I don’t know if I’m doing this school thing right any more than I know if I’m doing the life thing right. I don’t know how my kids or their lives are going to turn out, like so many parents I’m constantly worried that I’m screwing them up in some way. I’m in no position to tell anyone they are right or wrong about how they are homeschooling or living (nobody is in my opinion) and I don’t have definite answers for you. I try my best to raise good, smart, kind kids, that are better than myself in every way, and now I’m trying my best to pass along the things I have learned and went through in hopes that what I’m doing here helps some of you out there! Or at the very least entertains you. Honestly, I just want to do something here that my grandmother would be proud of.

The goal of this site….

My hope is to make your homeschooling journey a bit easier. Iโ€™m not trying to get rich, everything I offer is always FREE! Sign up for e-mails to save even more time by getting packs mailed straight to your inbox. Iโ€™ll be here, posting, sharing, and helping in anyway I can at least once a week!

I did my best to design this site to be as simple to use as possible and as helpful as I could. I’m going to keep the site very basic so you can always navigate quickly and efficiently. There are so many great homeschool blogs and sites but the are typically focused on sharing articles and maybe a few downloadable things such as worksheets, and not always for free. I follow many of these blogs myself, but I wanted to create a sort of one stop homeschool site. This site may not be fancy, but hopefully it will still offer some much needed help.

I occasionally do blog post in hopes that some of the posts will help on some way and I greatly enjoy writing even if most people today would rather watch videos than read๐Ÿ˜‚. Some blog entries have materials list, links, and downloads you’re sure to enjoy and some are just be text. Either way I hope you’ll get something out of it even if it’s just a giggle. The blog is NOT my main focus for this site though, you will find so much more than that here. From worksheets to educational YouTube playlists filled with several amazing YouTubers, I have done my best to include everything I could think of that a homeschooling family would want and/or need, if I have it or have ever used it you’ll find it here! I’ve even included a meme section for you to give your teacher/parent brain a break and laugh or if you just need a “pick-me-up”. Being calm, relaxed, and in a happy/good head space is definitely essential for homeschooling as much as the work of it! Your kids pick up on your emotions and feelings and tend to follow suit, so if you’re happy and calm they will be as well and learn much better! I choose to do meme’s because so many of us only have a few moments (if that) of down time and the right memes can be helpful in that short time.

Any recommendations you see from me I have personally used and/or checked out to make sure it is completely safe and useful. Feel free to reach out via e-mail or message on the contact page if you have any questions or request. I sincerely hope this site helps everyone that visits in some way big or small. So click around, scroll through every page, and enjoy!

A few memes and such that I think speak to my personality and who I am pretty well…. And some I find especially funny.
