On this page you’ll find our favorite picks for books, apps, supplies, and more! We use everything you see here for at least 2 weeks before recommending it! Rest assure, if you see it here it has been tested out first hand and worked great for us!

Supplies

These are just some basic things I think every homeschooler or teacher in general should have on hand at all times! Click the images for more details!

The dry erase pockets we found at the dollar store! Markers, sharpies, colored pencils, all that I think is a given. The stapler and hole punch I really wish I would have gotten sooner and I print EVERYTHING on cardstock! It cost a little more but I promise you it’s so worth it!

If you buy the binders with clear plastic covers they double as a dry erase pack! Save on paper and ink!

I laminate EVERYTHING I possibly can! Since I laminate so much my husband got me this cute little Scotch brand laminate machine (pictured to the right) you can get at Wal-Mart for under $20! So far it’s been worth every cent! I highly recommend it!

If you have a little artist like I do & haven’t tried these out yet, I definitely recommend you do soon! They cost a little more than normal colored pencils, but in my opinion, so worth it! No more having to sharpen every few seconds to get the best coloring results & my favorite part, the kiddos can handle these all by themselves at a young age! Just twist and color! Buy them! Trust me! ðŸ˜‚😂

You can get your own Smurf puppet printables you see above and much more by clicking here!

Books

These are our favorite and most useful books for one reason or another. We get them from Amazon, Kindle, Dollar Tree, etc. I’ve done my best to label where they are from and attach links so you can buy your own! Click images for more details and links/store they came from! Also, check out the Amazon book shopping list I put together as well, click HERE! There are book and teaching aid suggestions at the bottom of most themed pages of this site as well!

Since we love the Pout-Pout books so much I have put the links to buy some of out favs below. It’s really a great series! If you search it on Amazon you’ll find a lot more!

DIY teaching aids

Most of my teaching aids are handmade and DIY! I custom make these to fit the kids learning capabilities and lessons. Click the image for more details. Also be sure to check out the DIY printable educational games HERE and the Amazon teaching aids sopping list HERE!

To the right are the 2 games I created to teach name/word recognition and colors. I wanted to teach more colors than the store bought cards offer and I wanted to make sure the names and words we worked on first were personal to us. These both worked out so well and they are so SO cheap and easy to make! Click the photos for more detailed instructions!

Feed the penguin game!

Check out the rest of the penguin packs both fun and educational!

This is a interactive educational canvas painting I did to go along with our ocean theme! Check it out and the other ocean things HERE! We had a lot of fun learning about what is in each layer of the ocean, and this has been a great visual aid for our lessons.

To the left is a game I created to make learning a little more fun! You can download everything you need to create your own and get the full details and instructions HERE! You may also be interested in the other penguin packs in the blog link above. We have used this several times for match, spelling, reading and more. The youngest LOVES this game. Pretty sure it’s the current favorite. I don’t know why feeding the penguin is so much fun, but I’m incredibly happy with how well it’s served us thus far!

Amazon Shopping List

I want to make it very clear that I do NOT get paid to promote anything on the lists in anyway, nor does anyone I know. The products are not sent to me/friends/family to review. I have found and used/researched these on my own. I spend a significant amount of time each month on amazon searching around to find the best products to aid in our homeschool journey at the best deals! Now you can benefit from my hours of work as well! I have put together lists of teaching aids, books, kits and more that may prove useful and helpful on your homeschool journey as well! I have also put together a list of family matching clothing, shoes and accessories. Our youngest is very much into matching mom, so every spring we choose a few matching outfits and things that are always a big hit with our friends and family. Everything we have bought or simply just considered is on the list. Please note the sizes and colors displayed may not be the matching item. Also some things may say out of stock, however it may only be for the size and/or color that was selected when the item was added to the list. Click on the item to check the availability of your desired sizes/colors for sure.

AGIAN, I want to make it very clear that I do not get paid to promote anything on the lists in anyway, nor does anyone I know. The products are not sent to me/friends/family to review. I have personally researched and/or used everything on the lists above myself, (aside from the family marching products, some of those were considered and viewed but not purchased) which is why I feel comfortable recommending these items to you. If anyone finds a recalled or poorly reviewed product on the list that I may have somehow missed PLEASE contact me and let me know! I hope you find these list and their contents as useful, helpful, and fun as we have! If there’s a type of shopping list you’d like to see created please feel free to send me the request and I will do my best to set it up asap! Enjoy and happy teaching!
